TODDLERS
GET THEM READY
DON'T TELL THEM TO SMILE!
THE EASIEST WAY TO GET THEM EXCITED ABOUT THE PHOTOSHOOT IS TO GET THEM INVOLVED AND TALK TO THEM ABOUT IT!
During your photo shoot we encourage parents to smile, laugh and act as natural as you do at home. Small Kids are very emphatic and can recognise their parents moods and copy how they're feeling. It all starts with Mum & Dad, f the parents behave like there's nothing to be scared of and don't put too much pressure on "SMILE", toddlers usually get onboard, in most cases they get the giggles from the games we play, making the whole experience easy peasy!
WE'LL MAKE THEM LAUGH NATURALLY, THAT'S THE PHOTO YOU WANT
GET THEM READY AND BRING FOOD!
There's plenty of suggestions we can give you, but the TWO MOST IMPORTANT ones...
ARRIVE AT THE STUDIO "READY" - Dress them at home and come in READY. This makes the experience start on the right foot, negotiating with children to get dressed is not a great way to start.
BRING SNACKS! - Avoid "Hangry" kids, bring them food, healthy snacks work best, you know your kids better than anyone, bring things like like, sometimes it's good for bribery.
Dressing them up for their photoshoot before you leave the house is a great way to engage them about the photoshoot, talk to them about what you're all going to do, ask if they'd like to bring their favourite toy... it will definitely make them feel more at home.
OUTFITS
Pick a key colour and work around that, for example if you choose blue, have everyone wear a mix of navy, white and blue. These colours blend well together, so your family style will be cohesive.
Choose all cool colours, or all warm colours. Cool colours are greys, blues, purples and some pinks. Warm colours are browns, reds, oranges and yellows.
